- Is this a ticketed event?
Tickets will not be required for the 2016 market, however, there will be a $2 entry fee. Part of the money raised will go to the Plan International Because I am a Girl campaign and and part will go towards supporting our community of local makers and designers and planning more awesome events.
- Where do I apply?
Applications have now closed. Thank you to everyone who applied! An announcement regarding vendors will be made within one week.
- I don’t sell on Etsy anymore, can I still apply?
Your store must be set up and active. The aim of the market is to promote sellers, but also Etsy, so you must be currently actively selling on Etsy. It will also help customers on the day as they’ll know exactly where to find you online!
- What is the cost of a stall?
There will be different stall fees according to size. Stalls start from $160. Don’t forget there’s always an option to team up with someone else and share a stall space, splitting costs. The cost of the stall doesn’t include PLI or table hire. There will be more information to come regarding stall sizes.
- Will there be a table hire fee?
Yes, if you wish the market organisers to arrange a table for your stall.
- What can I sell?
Anything and everything you sell on your Etsy store – the market is about bringing your online store into the offline space for a day. No food or drinks are allowed due to health and safety regulations.
- I’ve just opened my shop, can I sell at the market?
Of course you can!
Legal and Insurance
- Do I have to have PL Insurance?
Yes, you have to have PLI to sell at the market! If you team up with another seller and have a stall together, you can split the cost of the PLI too.
- Where can I get a quote for public liability insurance from?

- Why do I need public liability insurance?
Public liability insurance protects you and your business against the financial risk of being found liable to a third party for death or injury, loss or damage of property or ‘pure economic’ loss resulting from your negligence. It also is a requirement for most all venues in a market setting situation and is a requirement for etsy vendors.
- What are my options if I’m in financial hardship?
We can suggest that you pair up with another vendor and share the space and split the cost of public liability insurance.
**You should read the exclusions on your market stall insurance cover carefully. Usually, public liability insurance only covers claims directly related to your stall and will cover a period of time before and after the stall opening hours, to cover you for set-up and take-down times.

- Will there be change rooms/toilets/disabled access?
Most certainly! There will be toilets accessible on the day onsite.
- Is there parking/public transport?
Collingwood is a tricky place to park but there are plenty of options and streets surrounding our warehouse. Victoria Park train station is directly across the road and will be the best option on the day. Trams run up and down Johnston St and buses along Hoddle St.
- What are the marketing activities associated with it?
We have the Etsy team going crazy with Etsy Made Local through PR, digital and social. We are also capitalising on sponsorships, local Melbourne event sites, and our own social channels. And YOU of course!
